Our Quest group has been focusing on team building! They do a variety of "minute to win it" style activities where they need to work together in pairs or teams to complete the challenge. Our beloved Afternoon Tea is coming up on Tuesday, July 18th, from Noon - 2 p.m., at The Gibson Social Club.
Afternoon Tea, presented by Kimberly-Clark Foundation, is a celebration for Club girls (ages 7-10) who complete our 6-class Character & Empowerment Program. During the classes taught by community partners and our staff, the girls learn about giving back, celebrating differences, how to treat others, self-expression, self-esteem and self-respect and much more.
Ladies in the community are invited to attend! Tea and a light lunch, provided by becket's, will be served, and you'll hear an inspiring message from speaker Allison Garner. This event is an excellent opportunity to get to know Club members. Girls receive sundresses and flip-flops and have their hair styled to make them feel extra special!
