One of our Thanksgiving week activities included an art project and lesson on corn. 🌽

Kids learned fun facts like how corn is indigenous to Turtle Island. Did you know that corn is actually a grass and has 500 different species?!

They also discussed harvest festivals from around the world such as the Celtic harvest Mabon festival.

During Forest Week, members learned all about paper with Ms. Kate! They learned about seed stratification and made seed paper. They then could tuck their paper under leaves in their yard or a park so that seeds can go through stratification and grow in spring, or just keep it as an art piece. They also used screens to sift through paper pulp and create recycled paper. We also made Art Paper, with colored and glitter concentrate, as a fun way to expand what we think about as paper! 🌳 ... We can't believe it's already December 1st, but we sure are excited to invite all of our Club members and their families to attend our annual Family Night Christmas Party! This year's party will be on December 20th from 5:30 - 7 p.m. (regular Club programming will end at 5 p.m.).

Grab your favorite holiday sweater and head to the Club for an evening of tasty snacks, holiday themed activities, and maybe even a visit from a certain jolly someone - πŸŽ…!
